JerriDee Flage- Owner, Doula, Counselor, & RN
Hi, I’m JerriDee Flage—Christian, wife, mother, doula, counselor, nurse, educator, and the proud new owner of The Elgin Doula!
With master’s degrees in both counseling and instructional design, my work has long centered around supporting women’s health and creating impactful educational tools. My counseling thesis focused on postpartum depression and breastfeeding, and I’m passionate about holistic, evidence-based care for mothers and families.
As a mother of nine and grandmother of thirteen, I bring a deeply personal understanding of birth. My own experiences include high-risk pregnancies, hospital and home births, C-sections, epidural and unmedicated labors, and raising a child with Down syndrome. I also have extensive breastfeeding experience—all of which inform the way I lead our practice.

After more than 25 years as a business owner, it’s a joy to now steward The Elgin Doula—a practice founded on excellence, faith, and heart. I work closely with my daughter, Grace Wainwright (our Practice Manager and Lead Doula), to ensure every client receives the personalized, high-quality care this practice is known for.
